RANDY (DUANE) MCGOWEN

Randy was a fundamentalist minister when he was published in Stealer's Sky. His superiors asked him not to use his own name, to save any possible "embarrassment" of a minister of their faith writing for a fantasy anthology. Therefore, Randy used his middle name, Duane.

He's left the ministry and church since then, due to "philosophical growth and mythological understanding," as he puts it, and has worked as a grant writer for the past several years. Though his recent creative focus has been in developmental mythology, he hopes to begin work on fantasy fiction again soon."
