and wisest of Sanctuary's resident fisherfolk. It was
he who worked out a plan and captured the giant crab
that was destroying the fishermen's trapped.
He and his son, Hort,
were later kidnapped by the Beysib, and while they were
still at sea, he taught them the native language and
has a professional respect for their sailors.
