Crash
and Burn Cafe gig, Brisbane - 19th April '97
(the one they'd prefer to forget...) |
 |
Hmm...
well, I must say it was the most relaxed concert I'd ever been to.
If the crowd had been anymore laid back, they'd be dead. I thought
it was great - got to sit at a table at the front with drinkies. (Felt
ancient though, after observing the age of the rest of the crowd!) |
 |
Undoubtedly
the hero(ine) of the night, Annie had to use someone else's base when
she broke a string during the first song. It was a bit bigger than
her usual one but she managed well. |
 |
Pete
does what he does best - sing through hair without suffocating. |
 |
Hey,
Jason! I can see you - just... |
 |
"Come
on, everyone get and dance!" shouts Pete. A drunk obliged
and did a good job of impersonating a gorilla for a while. At least
Pete showed he's a gentleman and didn't spit on the guy like the singer
of the support band did before them. |
 |
Put
ya head down in front - I can't see!
No really - I enjoyed the show. I don't go to many gigs but something
just made me grab a friend and go see these guys. My companion should
have found out a bit more about the band though, because he had been
expecting a female singer. Oh well... |
