Who are Effigy?

This page is devoted to the entity known as Effigy. A Perth band that just is purely brilliant. To spread their virile musical seed, they are now based and living in Melbourne, but frequently their home town often in both Perth and Fremantle. Homesick I guess. Peter even featured by playing a set the Grosvenor hotel in August under the guise of ? ? (escapes me at the moment). [Theresa Bitch I believe - Mic] Musically excellent having a very distinct sound of vocals and guitar.

They combine to give a unique blend of hard rock with twists of the Cure and the New Romantic movement (80's). I dont like to pigeon-hole bands so I really think they are a unique band that I love dearly. You have to swoon when Peter is all dressed up in full drab and wearing make-up. When I recently saw them on one of their sortees into home territory, they completely blew me away with the intense but yet tranquill tunes. They totally rock live PLUS they're from Perth. Need I say more?
